Organisation Structure - Director of Engineering & Technical Services - Jeremy Smith Jeremy Smith joined the PLA as Director of Engineering & Technical Services in May 1996, after 18 years at Ocean Group plc, a diversified international shipping and logistics group. His roles there had included running shipping and forwarding agencies, a stevedore, a major public services contractor and a small engineering business. He has worked in the Middle East, South East Asia and Africa. His public service experience began with a secondment to HM Diplomatic Service in Kuwait, handling the oil and banking sectors. A Chartered Engineer and MBA, he began his career in a service improvement role with the Ford Motor Company. |
