Over 2 million people visit the river Thames each year in cruise ships, private vessels and commercial pleasure boats.
The PLA approves and monitors almost 300 events on the Thames each year. These include major sporting occasions, regattas, club and other river events. Full details of these can be found in the "Events" section of this website.
